Projected points per season times seasons remaining on the contract, so the number is simply total production still under club control. Term is what a points ranking cannot show you: a modest defenceman signed six more years is a bigger asset than a star with one season left. Cost is shown but not folded in — per-dollar value does not change with term, so it belongs on the cap-efficiency board instead. Projections come from 2026-27; contracts are what is on file today.
