Navigating the App

The left sidebar is your map. It groups every page into named sections — General, My Team, League, Analytics, Tools, Commissioner, Admin — and only shows the sections that apply to you. On mobile, the same sections live behind the hamburger drawer.

The sidebar sections

The sidebar on desktop is grouped into collapsible sections. You always see General; the rest appear depending on your role and whether you belong to a league.

  • GENERAL — Home, Forum, Support, Help, GM Finder, Discover, Mock Drafts, Pool Directory, Settings.
  • MY TEAM (when you have a league) — Roster Management, Player Lookup, Team Settings, Keepers (in keeper leagues).
  • LEAGUE (when you have a league) — Standings, Matchups (head-to-head leagues), Leaders, Awards, Achievements, Records, Franchise, Compare, Statistics, Message Board.
  • ANALYTICS (when enabled for your league) — Analytics, Player Stats, Standings Trends, Roster Analytics.
  • TOOLS (when you have a league) — Waiver Wire, Injuries, Trades, Trade Deadline, Draft Board, Draft History, Monthly Changes, Archives.
  • COMMISSIONER (commissioners and admins only) — Dashboard, League Settings, Category Pools, Playoff Pools, Invitations, Manage Members, Teams, Import League, Assign Teams, Seasons, Active Periods, Trade Approvals, FA Approvals, Draft.
  • ADMIN (site admins only) — Player Linking, Stats Backfill, Stats Sync, Cache Metrics, Support Tickets, Feature Flags.

Click any section header to collapse or expand it. FanPoolHQ remembers your choices in local storage, so the sidebar opens the same way next time.

The mobile drawer

On phones and small tablets, the sidebar is hidden behind the hamburger button in the top-left of the header. Tapping it slides the drawer in from the left with the same sections, links, and badges. Tap a link, tap the close icon, or tap the dimmed backdrop to close the drawer.

Switching leagues

If you belong to more than one league, the league picker in the slim header lets you swap the active league. The whole sidebar — and the data on every page — refreshes to match. If you only belong to one league, the picker is hidden.

The active league is held in LeagueContext and persisted between sessions, so closing the tab and coming back later puts you in the same league you left.

Where to find help

You're already in the right place — but if you ever need to come back, the Help link lives in the GENERAL section of the sidebar, between Support and GM Finder. The help site lives at /help, with category cards at the top and articles grouped underneath.

Looking for a specific feature? Each category card on /help lists the articles in the order a new GM would read them — start at the top and work down, or jump straight to the article whose title matches your question.
